Srinagar (KNO) : Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir vehemently denounces shifting of Dukhtaran Millat chief Asia Andrabi, Secretary General Nahida Nasreen and Press Secretary Fahmeeda Sofi to Delhi by National Investigation Agency under custody and calls it an act of sheer vengeance which is from all aspects a shameful game played to suppress the genuine voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

NIA could have interrogated these respectable women leaders in Srinagar too but to create an atmosphere of terror among the masses, these women have been shifted to Delhi without any moral justification or legal authority. This is an erosion of the special powers of Jammu and Kashmir otherwise NIA has no role here. Jama’at demands immediate return of all the three women leaders to the valley and their unconditional release.
